Pandangan Stakeholders Pariwisata Mengenai Novel “Aku Cinta Lovina” dan “Rumah Di Seribu Ombak” Sebagai Media Promosi Pariwisata Bali Utara

Tourism promotion is an activity that provides information about tourist attractions in a destination through films, advertising, literary works, art and cultural performances, and word of mouth recommendations. Literary works can also contribute to promote local tourist attractions through stories that describe tourist attractions in an informative and detailed way. Stories told by writers can make readers have the desire to visit the tourist attractions described in their works. This study analyzed the stakeholders opinions regarding the novel Aku Cinta Lovina (2017) by Sunaryono Basuki published by Balai Bahasa Bali and Rumah di Seribu Ombak (2011) by Erwin Arnada published by Gagas Media as a medium for promoting tourism in North Bali. The novels used as research objects because the storyline invites the reader to explore the natural and cultural tourist attractions in North Bali. This study aimed to express stakeholder opinion on the novel Aku Cinta Lovina and Rumah di Seribu Ombak as a medium for tourism promotion in North Bali. This study concludes that using novels as a medium for tourism promotion is a effective strategy, but there are several weaknesses in this promotion step so efforts are needed to overcome these weaknesses in promoting North Bali tourism through novels.Keywords : tourism theme novels, North Bali tourism promotion, literary tourism
